Hi, I have wanted bees a year and a half. My mom and I are getting two hives this spring. One is an overwintered Carniolan hive, and one will be a split Saskatraz hive. We took a college class all about Beekeeping last fall to learn all about it, we also got to go into their hives and have hands on training. (I got stung two times)
This website will document my experience as a beekeeper.
These are our hives.
The yellow hive is our newest hive.
The mint colored hive is an older hive I will talk about later.
We are using two ten-frame deep hives, which means they have ten frames in each box and are the largest bee boxes you can get. (More frames more honey!)
